Meredith Payne

Meredith Payne is proven leader, brand-builder and strategic marketing and business development professional with more than 25 years’ experience across a broad range of project management functions and diverse industry segments including Business Development, Communications, Defense, Marketing, Strategic Planning, Nonprofit Program Management. Payne previously served as Senior Vice President of Business Development, Strategy and Communications at Davidson Technologies, Inc., where she also executed the role of Governmental/Congressional Liaison.

Payne stood up Davidson’s Enterprise Marketing and Communications group in 2020. She was then promoted to Senior Vice President of Business Development, Strategy and Communications. In this expanded role, Payne was steward of business strategy from inception to completion while executing robust business growth plans. She also oversaw the development of corporate communications strategy, managed the creation and consistency of internal and external communications and drove operational excellence by executing novel marketing strategies.

In her current role she serves as Senior Vice President for Caliola Engineering LLC (Caliola) and has been chartered to stand up and manage business units within the company i.e. Business Development, Strategy and Marketing/Communications.

Payne holds a master’s degree in science from Auburn University in Montgomery and is a graduate of Leadership Huntsville/Madison County Class F-35 and L-33. In January 2022, Payne became a Board Member for the Huntsville/Madison County Chamber of Commerce for a one-year term and currently sits on the National Government Committee. Recently, she was confirmed as a Board Member of the AUSA Redstone-Huntsville Chapter, along with the Huntsville Police Citizens Foundation. Along with these recent confirmations she is honored to serve on the Board of Directors for New Hope Children’s Clinic, American Red Cross North Alabama, American Heart Association Executive Leadership Team and is an Advisory Board Member for Wellstone Mental Health Center.

Her greatest love and accomplishment throughout her life and career is her husband Bill of 26 years who served the City of Huntsville Police Department and other law enforcement agencies for more than 30+ years and her daughter Isabella who attends Mississippi State University as an Early Entry candidate for the School of Veterinary Medicine.
